We accept singers from the age of 6 or above. All singers need to have a vocal assessment in order to join. Visit this page to inquire about registration and see below for more questions about Vocal Assessments.

It is possible to register mid-year for our programs. To find out more on how to register, contact the Choir Office or complete the enquiry form.

No formal training is required to join the choir. We welcome all singers regardless of experience or musical background.

Currently we only have one class for the age group. We will expand to more classes and age groups in the near future. The class size is limited to a maximum of 25 at this stage.

Rehearsals take place at the Markham Wesley Centre located at 22 Esna Park Drive, Markham, ON L3R 1E1.

Practice date and time is:

Main Choir, Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Training Choir, Saturdays, 3:40 PM - 4:00 PM

The main objective during a vocal assessment is to get to know the singers and their individual needs. This is also an opportunity for the singers to get to know the environment and the staff. Markham Children’s Choir is committed to create a safe and comfortable environment for the singers and their parents.

We will notify the parents about class cancellation due to inclement weather before 11:00 AM on the day of practice (i.e. Saturday)
